Weatherproof
|
The Weatherproof Beauty-Cam was used extensively during the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games in order to provide uninterrupted and unrivalled views of Sydney Harbour. Due to the inaccessible locations required to produce a ‘beauty shot’, such as the top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the roof line of the Olympic Park, the Beauty-Cam system had to be fully self-sufficient, reliable and weatherproof.
The Beauty-Cam system comprises a Panasonic AWE800 Camera with an SDI card and a Fujinon lens, located within a weatherproof housing that includes a windscreen washer, a wiper, a built-in heater and a cooling system.
Camera Corps unique CCU Panel allows for full camera function control, including iris and colour matching, together with pre-settable shots including on-air moves. The Beauty-Cam is operated via a joystick fitted with reversing switches allowing for total control, including pan, tilt, zoom and focus and the addition of the Camera Corps’ PTZF Switcher Box allows for total control of up to 5 remote Beauty-Cams.
The remote control system uses single twisted pair of low bandwidth RF link (link not supplied).
