The POV Helmet Cam comprises of a small POV camera built into a helmet worn usually by a sport referee.
The Helmet Cam comprises a single chip board camera with a choice of lenses. The system operates using an RF link or can be recorded to mini DV tape for later broadcast.
A small pack, containing rechargeable batteries and a data receiver is worn on the body, providing full remote camera CCU control and remote system power on/off switching. Full control of colour balance and exposure as standard.
Used recently at the Winter Olympic Games in Turin 2006 at the Ice Hockey, the Referee's Helmet Cam provided unrivalled shots of the action.
